Funny Videos- Business for em, time pass for us!

We live in a dynamic world, where advancements in technology govern our lives. Our desktops and laptops play the role of our virtual families and friends and we heavily rely on internet for our recreation and entertainment. While browsing and surfing net in your leisure time you often find yourself either looking for or coming across videos that at times you enjoy tremendously.
It’s a known fact and I hope you will agree that of all the videos we see/ search for/ come across,  the majority is either music videos or they are “funny videos”. Animations, dubbing and jokes have become a very common part of such videos for past several years and they are extremely popular. Thousands of funny videos are uploaded, searched for, viewed and then shared among friends on social-networking websites such as Facebook/ Orkut/ Twitter and Myspace.
Comedy by its very definition is a humorous discourse with the very intention of amusement and gaining attention. What reaches the layman as a simple, fun-to-watch video, many times may contain a subliminal or even an apparent message and several companies actually use the technique of funny videos to make their ads and messages easy to remember. One types “funny commercials” on web and can come across thousands of such videos.
As a matter of fact, many times the jokes aren’t even funny, yet they are appreciated by a large audience, of course we can explain that by subjectivity and individuality of everyone. However, I guess it is a good idea to add humor to your videos especially for business purposes because chances are that such a video will be spread and shared quite frequently and quickly.
Lastly, if you are at the searching end, then your job is pretty simple, all thanks to the highly efficient search engines and a list of websites designed just to serve your purpose. You simply need to, as they say, “Google it!” and most of your job is done. Now you can sit back and enjoy a couple of hours watching some “very funny” and some “not-so-funny” videos. You are the judge!

Pages of My Diary... *I'm sorry*

I am Sorry
For things I might have said to you
In anger or frustration
For times when words of mine have been
A source of Provocation
I'm Sorry

For Unintended Actions, Thoughtless deeds
Or inconsideration
For jumping to conclusion
For rejecting Moderation
I'm Sorry

For Timely Things I Havent done
Forgetting or Omitting
For knowing sometimes I was wrong
Without In-fault admitting
I'm Sorry

For Conversations we've had
When temper stole affection
For looking in a negative
Not positive direction
I'm Sorry

For being Too insensitive
And just a bit unwise
For failing to perceive the need
For loving compromise
I'm Sorry!

Pages of My Diary... *Pain*

Pain
Poetess: Saman Tariq

With the pain so deep n' wild
I stand stable n' live with Pride!

The pain of bygone happy days
The days that took the promises, smiles and dreams with em
Promises we made..
Smiles that you brought..
n' Dreamz that we Saw..

The pain of someone gone long ago
Who took the passion, the dedication and the devotion with him
The passion to love someone
The dedication to love with sincerity
and the Devotion to love till the end..

The pain to hear the words, now echoing in my ears
The words so sweet n' simple
The sweetness, now turned into bitterness
The simplicity that has made my life so complex..
That there aint a single morning when I dun remind myself of who n' what I am..
and There aint a single night when I dun try forgetting of who n' what you were..

Its another night now!
A night so long n' lonely
And again its you standing in front of me!
But I'm done with this pain so deep n' wild!
Done with pretending to live with Pride..
Its time for you to leave..
for you to Quit..
and take with you..
the promises you never fulfilled
the smiles you turned to tears
n' the dreams you broke!
Dreams that hurt my eyes like pieces of broken glass

The passion you brought that no one else could!
the dedication that was meant just for you!
The devotion that remains no more inside me!
You need to quit! you need to leave!
You need to give myself back to me!
My sweetness, my happiness, my simplicity
You need to give myself back to me!
You need to Quit! You need to leave!
Please! Just Quit! Just Leave!

Hope

There are moments when you realize
Somethings in Your life, always have a price!

We give up things for our happiness
But at times lose something more precious!

And thats HOW i lost you
I dun regret but I Miss you

Coz If I've the happiness n' Satisfaction "Today"
I had your smile n' words "Yesterday"
And em not sure If I'd have anything tomorrow
Lots of happiness or just sorrow!

Em Waiting! n' Em waiting for a bright sunny day
When I'd wake up n' I'd know my way
I'd wake up n' I'd know I've a hand to hold
I've a hand to hold me along the road
Along the road of life
That ALWAYS needs a sacrifice
Coz there are somethings in your life
That Always Always have a price!

Pages of My Diary... *I Miss You*

I Miss You
Poetess: Saman Tariq
Written: September 2007
Its been months today
But standing here
I still believe I love you
I still agree I Miss you &
I still feel I was made for You

I miss you in times of sadness
When I see a tear rolling down a cheek
When I see a hand wiping those tears
I Miss you for you wiped my tears away!
And now when a tear rolls down my cheek
I miss your soothing hug
I miss your friendly smile
I miss your comforting pat &
I keep missing you all along

I miss you in times of Happiness
When I see a smile spreading on a face
When I see two people holding hands
My heart stops beating at once
Remembering the moments we shared
You took em from me
With a promise of never returning back

And now when it rains here
I miss your songs
I miss the romance
and I miss the crazy dance in the rain
Lying on my bed ..
Listening to the leaves drinking rain drops..
Made my heart bloom once!
But now when it rains..
I feel the cloud cries for me..
No! it cries for Us!

I still cry at times of sadness
I still Laugh at stupid jokes
It still rains here
People still love each other
Everything's still the same
The meanings however have Just Changed!!

Pages of My Diary... *Belief of Sight*

Belief of Sight
Poetess: Saman Tariq
Written : 2008

People thought I had it all
While i went through a silent fall
Did they ever try to feel?
The truth that my eyes conceal!
All they could see was What I had
The things I did, The Clothes I Clad
They saw in me a rising star
And not the pain, the hidden scar
They only believed what they could see
They never imagined what I could be
I had the power to conquer the earth
To give humanity a brand new birth
I could reach beyond the stars
They dint yet know my hidden powers

But all I lacked was the devotion
I was over whelmed by Emotion
I'd lost the power to realize
To see my identity through my eyes
I'd lost the complete track of time
I'd committed an unworthy crime..

The crime to enter this cruel life
That seemed gentle but hurt like a knife
I too, had believed what my eyes saw
I learnt when I had been trapped in its claw
The glittery stuff was never Gold
In a market where values were sold
Where all was dealt, based on Cost
All thought they'd win, but finally Lost

And so all judged be by my price
When I knew my sacrifice
I knew my worth was much more
But i stood hidden behind a door
My freedom had been denied its life
To gain it back is an endless strife
And so I try to barely Crawl
While People still Think..
I have it All !

A moment to say "Thanks"

It is one of those dark silent moments after midnight when i lie back, close my eyes and my life starts to play like a Movie in my head. I really dun understand what is it stimulating this silence.
Tonight as i look back at my life i realize that too often when i should have thanked, i dint!
so i m taking this moment to thank for everything life has given me and God bestowed upon me. It is without doubt more than i ever expected or even deserved.
For every success i have achieved in life and even for the failures that pushed me to more struggle, more hard work, more sincerity.
For every friend i was blessed with who has made happy moments happier and sad moments tolerable and even for the enmities that have made me look back and question.. "what went wrong?"
For the parents i was gifted with, who i know would stand by my side no matter what. Whats amazing is that i have never really been thoughtful and thankful for how understanding they are..
For the Love God has made me feel and fall in and to experience what its like to be special, for letting me know of HIS existence in my low moments that has always helped me keep my self from falling apart!
There are a million more reasons why I am thankful but I do know that all the reasons that I just mentioned, You have em too! so take a moment to Thank the Almighty! For this beautiful life .. to be where many aspire and can only dream to be! To be healthy, wealthy and happy..
I hereby Bow my head! n' Thank You Lord! for all this and so much more that i can never stop counting!
Keep me blessed ! =))

Pakistan Is India...

Pakistani people are very sentimental. They would often get very sad about the fact that the western world knows not much about Pakistan and they're always like "Oh! is it somewhere near "India"? well! given the history of both countries Pakistani people would get all worked up. But I have two good reasons to tell them to relax!
1- Thankfully Pakistan's on good terms with her neighbor now and
2- Well Come'on! Lets be honest! India's been there for centuries. It is obviously more famous than Pakistan.
But there is something funny about the fact that India is not India! and Pakistan is India! Surprised? Let me take you a few years back. Like a couple of centuries back?
See, when Aryans invaded or as many other historians might say "came" or "happened upon" this part of the earth there was this sea that they began to call "Sindhu" but when Persians came here they translated it in their language and began calling it "Hindu"- oh n here i would like to tell you that "Hindu" is not a religion, it is used to refer to people who belong to the surroundings of "Hindu" river and when Greek came into the equation, they changed the name to "Indu". And well, as I hear, Greeks have this habit of putting an additional "S" after words so the river came out to be known as "INDUS" which is why the state was named "India"
As for 1947, Pakistan and India became independent states and the rest you, generally speaking, would know! But The Indus River became a part of "PAKISTAN" and the land which was not "INDIA" began to be called so. Quoting "Aik Din Geo K Saath"... "Kia Yeh Khulla Tazaad Nahi?" ;-)
India is a misnomer for the place it is called so, by. Bharat would be the appropriate name and  also... lets not forgot, Pakistan also has several things to be proud of so lets not feel bad about it. Its just a little Irony!

In My Life..

(Written in June, 2007)
I'm Just Another Human Being Sent To This Earth To Do Something Good And Creative Fer My Self, Fer The People I Love And In Short , Something Good Fer This World..

Life Has Made Me See The Height Of Excitment And Height Of Frustration Simultaneously..

In My Life...
I've Tasted The Sweetness Of Victory .. And Have Come Across And Tasted The Bitter Taste Of Defeat Too
At Tymz I've Been So Over Whelmed With Joy That I Thought I Could Not Contain It ...And At Tymz I've Been So OverWrought With Sorrow That I Belived I Could Not Bear Another Moment Of It!
I've Been So Optimistic That There Aint A Single Dream Of Mine That I Was Not Convinced I Could Make A Reality .. But There Were Tymz ..When I Was So Discouraged That I Dint Dare To Dream...

In My Life...

I've Lived With Hope And Been Magnificiantly Empowered
And I've Been Hopeless And Powerless Too... At Tymz I've Been Admired So Openly That It Was Almost Embarassing .. And Some Tymz I've Been Despised So Deeply That I Felt Like Crawling Away And Hiding..
I Did The Wrong And Been Done Wrong To.. And I've Apologised And Felt The Amazing Healing .. I've Forgiven And Have Felt The Amazing Freedom

And..

I've Been Charitable And Made A Difference In SomeOne's Life And 've Accepted Charity Which Made A Difference In My Life .. And Tymz I've Been Selfish And Made A Difference To No One !
I've Been A Symbol Of Love Fer My Parents, Siblings, Friends And Strangers .. And Some Tymz A Coward To All Of Them
The Biggest Lesson That I Learnt Was That I'll Never Do Wrong By Doing Anything Fer The Right Reason And I'll Neva Be Right By Doing Any Thing Fer The Wrong Reason

Now May I Ask...
In Yer Life???

Terrorism is NOT a Muslim Monopoly- an inspiration from the lecture of Dr. Zakir Nayak

(Written in March 2008)

"Not All Muslims Are Terrorists But All Terrorists Are Definitely Muslims!" A Commonly Heard Statement!

I Condemn!!

"Terrorism Has Become A Systematic Weapon Of War That Knows No Boundries And Seldom Has A Religion"
Islamic Extremism Or Rather Islamic Terrorism Is A Controversial Statement In Itself. People To Be Called Islamic Extremists Are, In Fact Only Extremists And Not Islamic!

Think Of A Molvi Who Prays Five Tymz A Day, But When Comes Out Of The Mosque, Beats A Poor Like An Animal Only Because His Gadha Gaari Was A Hurdle To His BMW;
Another Molvi Whose Wife Dies After Struggling With A Disease For 8 Long Years Just Because He Dint Take Her To A Male Doctor Coz The Doctor Is A Na Mehram, Neither To A Female Doctor Because The "DOCTOR" Does Not Follow Hijaab...
Or A Molvi Who Beats A Student In Front Of The Entire University Because He Was Seen Talking To A Girl & Himself Is Found In The Nearby Caf'e With His Latest Girl Friend 10 Minutes Later...

If These Molvies Are Going To Project Our Religion Then Where Would Teachings Of Prophet (P.B.U.H) Go? And What Good Would Teachings Of Scholars Like Zakir Nayak Could Do ? These People Violating Human Rights In The Name Of Islam Are True To Be Called Extremists But I Doubt If They Are To Be Called Islamic Or Not !

Its Time To Ponder Over The Critical Question: " Who Moderate Muslims Are And Who Are Extremists?"
To Me, Both The Terms Are Incorrect. The Word Islam Itself Explains The Nature Of The Religion. Islam Means “Acquiring Peace By Submitting Yer Will To God” And God Above All Is Merciful n’ Benevolent. Millions Of Muslims Pray Five Tymz A Day n’ Their Prayers Start With The Words “In The Name Of God, The Most Merciful, The Most Beneficent” So Clearly! If Mercy Is The Primary Quality Of God, It Is The Quality Muslims Are First Called Upon To Imitate n’ Practice!

All Muslims Are Instructed To Struggle Towards The Good Called “Jihad” n’ No Word In Modern Tymz Has Been More Misunderstood Than Jihad; By Muslims n’ Non Muslims Alike.
Difference Between Jihad In Islam n’ Extremism Is Like The Earth n’ The Sky !
Though Muslims, Or Rather Islam Has Started To Be Recognized As A Religion Of Terror Sinces 70s n’ 80s But Since September 11 It Has Been Officially Labeled So!
A BomB Goes Off In Jerusalem, A Suicide Bomber Enters Into A Bus Full Of Women n’ Children n’ The List Of Many Such Events Have Undoubtedly Affected The Muslims World Wide.
Now Any Muslim Who Wants To Practice His/Her Religion Or Expresses The Pious Desire To Live Under The Banner Of Islam Is Labeled A Fundamentalist Or Extremist. Any Muslim Man Walking Down The Busy Streets Of London With A Beard On His Face Is Looked Upon As Being A Terrorist, Any Muslim Woman Who Is Veiled Cannot Go Anywhere In The Western World Without Being Taunted As Being Opressed Or Being Mad !

Is It Justified? No!! Because If THIS Would Have Been The Criteria To Judge A Religion By The Conduct Of Its Minority; We Too Could Have Said That All The Christianity Is About Child Molesting n’ Homosexuality n’ All The Hinduism Is About Looting n’ Breaking Mosques … But Generalizing In Such A Manner Is Not Seen To Be Objective!!

Bravo! To Pakistani Media ...

Last night while i was switching through the channels i came across multiple channels where the biggest topic under discussion was .. "Was Veena Malik Religiously and Traditionally Ethical In Big Boss?" As it appears, it is perhaps the biggest Question our nation faces today. Well, down with inflation, corruption, poverty, terrorism n' hunger. They'll be looked after when the right time comes. Veena Malik, my dears! is todays topic.

On that note, i will have to agree with Sania Saeed's comment in 50 minutes. No one amongst us will probably believe Veena's attitude to be justified or probably none of us would like to be in her place but we as a nation have failed miserably to look at the bigger picture in general. We as a nation have learned to endorse these attitudes and our media has been our teacher all along.

Perhaps Benazir died of a bullet or may be of the lever of the car or what ever mystery her death might hold, Dear viewers!! "Geo aik baar pher sab say aagay". Geo's profound insensitivity towards everything is prevalent in their claim "ahead of everyone". And its not just Geo, our media as a whole has been endorsing the negatives much more than the positives, never reaching a productive conclusion.

Whether Meera was married or not, or whether Veena was ethical or not or how come Shoaib got Sania married to him remain to be the highlights in news for several days. Where ever some thing goes wrong in the country our media is there to spice it up with catchy phrases and serve this dish to a nation hungry for just the same.

I don,t want to claim that its entirely wrong, well obviously it is their Job to do so and who would if they dont? and in case they dont, who will create awareness and raise voice and bring to public knowledge the ills of our society. The point is; how often do we see these channels promoting the goods? What is the role of media in Branding pakistan as a country?

Ask an American what s/he thinks of Pakistan and I'm pretty sure, either they don't know or they will somehow link it up to 9/11 or other terrorist and extremist activities taking place in the entire world, all thanks to Pakistani media.

Our students study brand management and marketing and they end up serving in MNCs and big corporations just to show how good a brand Nestle' or Coke or Unilever is. I'm afraid and disappointed that no one thinks of doing the same for Pakistan.

I'm a marketing student and i strongly condemn the role Pakistani media plays in order to brand our country. We have bigger problems at hand and better things to discuss and i certainly believe that if we dont waste our time, resources and our marketing skills in promoting these petty issues, perhaps one day we could build a brand which stands for a land of beauty, culture and youth, fully riped and ready to learn from the mistakes of previous generations and rise up to be a much bigger nation than Media-as-of-today represents it to be.
